Leather Care Tips

In order to take care of leather properly, it is essential to be able to recognise the various types of leather.

Fundamentals

1. The leather should be complete clean of dirt and should not be wet.

2. It is important to handle the leather with care. As a precaution before using a cleaner, first check it on a small, concealed area.

3. Never use harsh cleaners. Solvents, Furniture polish and similar products will adversely affect the surface of the leather.

4. Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight and high temperatures will cause the leather's color to fade over time.

Cleaning and Care

Dust your leather furniture regulary with a soft cloth. From time to time
you can wipe with a damp cloth.

Wipe dirt that begins to dry, over a large area with a cloth moistened in warm suds (e.g. complete seat area or back.) Or clean it with usual Softcleaner. After that, towel dry with a soft cotton cloth and then let it dry. Afterwards apply a nourishing leather product to the surface.

On nubuck leather you should not apply any products after cleaning and only brush up the fibers at the end.

Take special care that stains don't become dry.

Always handle the leather with due diligence and great care, otherwise the surface of the leather may be damaged and on nubuck leather color changes
could occur.
